Get Dressed Part 6:Show Shoes by Jannae Cammon

Get Dressed: Show Shoes

In our previous posts we have discussed the importance of being dressed for spiritual success. Spiritual warfare is something one is born into. From the foundation of the earth there has been war between Satan and God. In the book of revelations we read about the first war in the history of the existence of the fourth dimension that we understand as, the spiritual realm.

7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Notice that the word of God says that the enemy, the devil, was not strong enough and that God defeated the enemy hurling him to earth. I want to remind the saints that whatever attacks the enemy has set against you that it is not strong enough.

4You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:4

17"No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me," declares the LORD. Isaiah 54:17

According to Ephesians 6: 10-13 As to the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might; 11 put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil, 12 because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places; 13 because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done—to stand.

During the last few blogs of this series we have discussed the power of prayer, walking in truth and the Breastplate of righteousness. This blog will continue discussing how to triumph or endure testing times of warfare. How does one travail to prevail. Pushing requires more than lengthy prayers, it also entails having ones feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. What does that word preparation mean?

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary the word preparation means;the action or process of making something ready for use or service or of getting ready for some occasion, test, or duty

The word preparation in Greek in this particular text is the word hetoimasae and it means the act of preparing or 2.the condition of a person or thing so far forth as prepared, preparedness, readiness

A root of that word is hetoimazo and it means

to make ready, prepare

to make the necessary preparations, get everything ready

2.metaph.

1.drawn from the oriental custom of sending on before kings on their journeys persons to level the roads and make them passable

2.to prepare the minds of men to give the Messiah a fit reception and secure his blessings

So esentially what the bible is saying in regard to having ones feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace it is saying that one is ready for battle and to maintain strength in battle by having ones feet covered with the good news of peace.

If one can just remember that God sent them a gift in the person of jesus Christ then the battle is already one. The bible says that God will keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on him.

If you keep your mind stayed on Him depression has to leave because when one keeps their mind on God they are reminded of of who he is and who he is is peace.

He is your shelter. He is your provider. he is your healer. He is your peace.

So when the storms of life come if one can just grab a hold onto the peace supplier you can maintain a state of mind that is conduscive to productivity.

If you worry one can not think straight enough to make the right decisions to navigate to the right destination.

How can you think straight when you are having anxiety attacks and operating with stress. You are too blessed t be stressed.

When you are enduring triumphant seasons one must remember who you are and whose you are. Gosd is bigger than anything you can imagine.

God has not given us the spirit pf fear, but power, love and a sound mind.

If you can just remember that God is in control fear cant move you into the wrong direction.

You bettah hold on to your peace. You better wear your peace. You better wear your crown and that crown is God's peace.

Isaiah 26:You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you. wilt. Isaiah

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

The answer to your relationships and your interactions with others begins with your ability to accesss the peace of God. And when you allow your self to be covered in peace you will carry that peace wherever you go.
